This article applies to:

  • MailMarshal Cloud

Question:

  • How can I export the result of a Message History search?
  • Message History seems to only allow copying 20 or fewer records

Procedure:

The following options are available to export Message History records:

  1. Refine your message search to return fewer than 300 records, and copy directly.
    • If the number of records returned by the original search (before using "filter for") is fewer than 300, the entire list is available to copy from the browser window.
    • If the number of records is more than 300, then only the number visible in the window can be copied.
    • For example to find unique messages that were delivered, search for the "type" Delivery. Refine the search using email addresses, subject, and Classifications.
  2. For larger sets, use the report "Messages detail by classification" with CSV output.
    • For example to find unique messages that were delivered, run the report twice (once for Delivered Successfully Over TLS, and once for Delivered Successfully).
    • To sort and filter the results, open the CSV files in Excel or any other application that understands the CSV format.
