Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • MailMarshal (SEG)
  • MailMarshal ECM/MailMarshal Exchange

Question:

Is there a way to have the subject line field text checked against a dictionary?

Reply:

MailMarshal does not incorporate a dictionary, but MailMarshal can perform some dictionary-type actions using native capabilities.

  • TextCensor can check the subject or other headers for specific words or mis-spellings of words.
  • Header Matching and Rewrite can perform more sophisticated checks, and can perform substitutions in the subject or other header fields using a flat text file ("map file").
  • You could potentially perform dictionary lookups by exporting your dictionary into a flat text file.
