ERRMSG: 3504 - Resident virus scanner detected (MMEngine error)

Symptoms:

Event ID: 3504
Type: Error
Source: MMEngine (MailMarshal SMTP) or MEXEngine (MailMarshal Exchange)
Description: Resident Virus Scanner Detected

 

Causes:

A resident or on-access virus scanner has been found, and is scanning MailMarshal's working directories.

Resolution:

In order for MailMarshal to operate as designed, MailMarshal's working directories must be excluded from any resident or on-access antivirus scanners.
