ERRMSG: 3509 - Mail message error (MMSender errors)

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • MailMarshal (SEG)

Symptoms:

Event ID: 3509
Type: Error
Source: MMSender
Description: Mail Message Error

Causes:

This event is raised whenever the MailMarshal SMTP MMSender service is unable to perform what is known internally as a MailMessage operation. Though unlikely to occur, it will typically be caused by the inability of the MMSender service to remove a recipient from the SMTP envelope.

More Info:

MailMarshal will send a message to every address listed as a recipient in the SMTP envelope. In the case of multiple recipients, the SMTP envelope will contain multiple recipients, and the MailMarshal Sender service will remove recipients from the envelope once confirmation of successful delivery is returned by the remote host. If for any reason the MMSender is unable to remove one of these recipients, this event will occur.
