INFO: What is the WebMarshal Dump file?

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • WebMarshal 3.7 and above

Question:

  • What is the WebMarshal Dump file?
  • File with extension .mdmp is created in the WebMarshal installation folder

Information:

On rare occasions when WebMarshal encounters an internal error, a memory dump file may be created in the WebMarshal installation folder.

The file name includes the module name, time, and version information, and has the extension .mdmp

These files can help Marshal to investigate issues with WebMarshal operation.

If one or more files of this type are present in your WebMarshal installation folder, contact LevelBlue Technical Support for assistance.

Notes:

In case of repeated errors, WebMarshal limits the number of these files that are created.
It is safe to remove these files from the system.
