HOWTO: Making the Spam Quarantine Management website the default website on a server

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • MailMarshal (SEG)
  • Spam Quarantine Management Website

Information:

  • How to make the Spam Quarantine Management website the default website on a server

Procedure:

The SQM site installs to the default website, but creates a new virtual directory. If there is no content in the root of the default website, you can move the SQM site to the root. The following instructions apply to IIS 7 and above:
  • Access Internet Information Services Manager (IIS) and click Default Web Site. Click Basic Settings.
  • For the Physical Path field Browse to the SQM install location
    • 8.X, 10.0 and above: C:\Program Files (x86)\Trustwave\SEG Web Components\Spam Quarantine Management
    • For other versions, see article Q10832
    • To apply the setting click OK.

Users now only need to enter into the address bar the server name or DNS name of the SQM web server, and not a folder name.
