FAQ: How do I get MailMarshal folders to appear in a digest?

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • MailMarshal (SEG)

Question:

  • How do I get SEG/MailMarshal folders to appear in a digest?
  • How do I notify users by email that messages are quarantined?

Reply:

You can create email digests for one or more MailMarshal folders. Depending on the MailMarshal version, you may be able to send more than one digest a day, or send digests to specific users.

For details of the procedures and options, see the chapter "Delegating Spam and Quarantine Management" in the MailMarshal SMTP User Guide for your version of MailMarshal SMTP.

  • The User Guide is installed with the product as a PDF file, and the same content is also included in the product Help.

Notes:

When you set up folders that will be digested, it is important to be sure that you use different folders for incoming and outgoing quarantined messages. Digesting uses the "from" or "to" email address of messages to determine where to send the digests. If you do not keep incoming and outgoing messages separate, MailMarshal might send digests to external addresses.
