FIX: Cannot upgrade some Marshal products in rare cases

This article applies to:

  • MailMarshal (SEG)
  • MailMarshal SPE
  • WebMarshal

Symptoms:

  • Unable to upgrade from an earlier version

Causes:

  • One cause of this problem is that the Installshield installation package is corrupt or missing.

Resolution:

  • Before upgrading re-run the installation package of your current version to install the missing information. This solution will not affect files that have been modified or added.
