BUG: Upgrading to version 6.4 could result in an open relay

This article applies to:

  • MailMarshal 6.4.0.x or 6.4.1.x 
  • Upgraded from an earlier version

Symptoms:

  • After upgrading to version 6.4.0 or 6.4.1 the MailMarshal server is an open relay

Causes:

  • If the "Prohibit Relaying" option was unchecked in Server Properties before upgrade, upgrading to the named versions (with the new Relay Table interface) does not correctly reset this option.

Resolution:

To resolve this issue, upgrade to a current supported version of MailMarshal SEG.
