This article applies to:

• MailMarshal (SEG) 6.8 and above
• MailMarshal ECM/MailMarshal Exchange 7.X

Symptoms:

• Error occurs during installation of Visual C++ Redistributable
• Error message: Error 1935. An error occurred during installation of assembly Microsoft VC.ATL

Causes:

• LevelBlue has observed this error when installing on a clean Windows Server operating system with no Windows Updates installed.
• Microsoft also reports this error can occur when Windows Updates have failed.

Resolution:

Ensure that current Windows Updates are installed, and then try again.
