INFO: Additions to Release Notes for MailMarshal SEG 7.1

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • MailMarshal SEG 7.1 (formerly known as MailMarshal SMTP)

Question:

  • What are the Release Notes for MailMarshal SEG 7.1?

Information:

The latest update of MailMarshal SEG 7.1 was released on December 5, 2012 (build 7.1.2.5326).

The Release Notes included with the product are accurate as of the date of publication.

This article provides any additional information or corrections generated after that date.

SPF changes

The change history item for MM-2899 (Q14723) states that SPF recursion limits can be set and modified. However, as a result of further investigation, the limits were removed completely. The standard (RFC 4408) does not provide for limitation of recursion.

Sent History

Note that the default retention for the Sent History folder in new installations of version 7.1 is 7 days (changed from the previous default of 3 months). Upgrading does not change the configured value. Sent History can consume significant space in MailMarshal quarantine folders. If you do not need to retain the detailed logging information for all messages, you may wish to edit this value after upgrading.
