SQL Server version requirement
Take note that MailMarshal 11.3 requires SQL 2017 or above, as mentioned in system requirements.
- If upgrade is attempted with databases hosted on an earlier SQL version, you may see a credential request early in the installation process (even though correct credentials were entered or not required).
- To resolve this issue, upgrade SQL or SQL Express to a supported version such as SQL 2022.
Update from 11.2 with multiple servers
If you have an installation with separate email processing servers and Array Manager:
- Ensure you upgrade all processing servers before making any changes to rules.
The configuration written by version 11.3 will be loaded and used by the version 11.2 nodes.
However, any use of the new "is not" options in rule conditions may cause services to stop.
This issue only relates to the new options introduced in 11.3. Rules with the pre-existing "is not" conditions continue to function as before (for example, "file is not of type").
