INFO: Additions to Release Notes for Marshal Reporting Console 2.1

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • Marshal Reporting Console 2.1

Question:

  • What are the Release Notes for Marshal Reporting Console 2.1?

Information:

The Release Notes included with Marshal Reporting Console 2.1 are accurate as of the date of publication. The latest release of Marshal Reporting Console is 2.1.0.843, released April 28, 2009.

This article provides any additional information generated after that date.

New Report Plug-in:

December 2009: A new MailMarshal SMTP Summary Usage Report is available. See the installation package on the MRC Download page.

Additional Notes:

  • Marshal Reporting Console currently supports reporting for:
    • MailMarshal (SEG) 6.2 and above
    • WebMarshal 6.1 and above
  • MailMarshal (SEG) or WebMarshal databases (data to be reported) can be hosted on any SQL Server version supported by the MailMarshal or WebMarshal version.
  • The SQL Server version prerequisite for Marshal Reporting Console applies only to the SQL Server hosting the MailMarshal Reporting Console configuration database. You can host this on the same server as the product databases, or a different SQL or SQL Express server.
  • Problems connecting to the Report Server during installation could be caused by proxy settings. See LevelBlue Knowledgebase article Q12205.
  • On Windows 2008 or Windows Vista, you must use the "with SP2" version of the installer for SQL Server Express 2005 with Advanced Services. Earlier versions of the SQL Express installer will not correctly detect prerequisites. For more information see Microsoft Knowledge Base articles 934164 (Vista) and 938245 (Server 2008).
