ERRMSG: Error: 'The Word report converter requires Microsoft Office 2000 or better. A search of the system registry failed to locate the required version of Office.'

This article applies to:

  • Firewall Suite 4.1x

Symptoms:

  • Error: 'The Word report converter requires Microsoft Office 2000 or better. A search of the system registry failed to locate the required version of Office.'
  • Error occurs when using the Document Utility with Microsoft Word 2003.

Causes:

The Document Utility distributed with the product versions named above does not support Microsoft Office 2003.

Resolution:

Microsoft Word 2003 is supported by the latest version of Document Conversion Utility. You can obtain the latest version of Document Conversion Utility as a standalone installation from the Security Reporting Center Support page.
