Symptoms:

• Error: An error was encountered when accessing a winsock function.

Causes:

The error is received when trying to e-mail a Firewall Suite report, and is generated when Firewall Suite cannot attach graphic images to the report.

Information:

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

1. Exit and unload Firewall Suite.

2. Open the Task Manager (CTRL-ALT-DEL).

3. Click Processes.

4. Look for GSW32.exe, which is the Firewall Suite graphic engine.

5. End that process.

If the process does not shut down, restart the computer.
