PRB: Internal error 2351 is received when using the Windows Installer.

  • Firewall Suite 4.0a
  • Microsoft Windows 2000

Symptoms:

  • Internal error 2351 is received when using the Windows Installer.
  • Internal error 2355 is received when using the Windows Installer.

Causes:

Ignoring either of these error messages may result in the software not functioning properly.

This issue is caused by a problem in the Windows Installer software when it performs file extraction from .cab files.

Procedure:

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Windows Installer software. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000, Service Pack 2. Please follow the instructions from the link provided below.
