PRB: Too many records were discarded due to out of chronological variance.

This article applies to:

  • Firewall Suite 4.1x

Symptoms:

  • Too many records were discarded due to out of chronological variance.
  • Error: 23.9% of records were discarded due to being out of date/time order.

Causes:

This error occurs if the log file is not in chronological order. Meaning, the log file is not sorted by date/time field.

Information:

The log files need to be sorted correctly before running the report. If logs are being collected by more than one firewall make sure they are synchronized to eliminate the error.
