Symptoms:

• Unable to complete the installation of free upgrade.
• Error: Your previous WebTrends product does not qualify you for a free upgrade.

Information:

To complete the upgrade complete the following steps:

1. Run the installation for the new version.  

2. During the upgrade select the option, Update an Existing Version.  

3. If no valid subscription is installed you are prompted to enter your subscription serial number.  

4. After entering your valid subscription serial number you should be able to complete the installation wizard to finish the upgrade process.

Notes:

If you already have a full product serial number for the version that you are installing, you should be able to specify this serial number instead of a subscription serial number to complete the upgrade process.
