PRB: Unable to analyze Secure Computing Sidewinder log files.

Symptoms:

  • Unable to analyze Secure Computing Sidewinder log files.

Causes:

Older versions of Secure Computing Sidewinder firewalls did not convert the zipped log files to binary mode before transferring them.

Information:

This is an issue with the Sidewinder firewall script that FTPs the log files.  To correct this issue the Secure Computing Sidewinder firewall should be upgraded to at least version 5.1.1, patch 1. The issue is addressed in this release of Sidewinder software.
