PRB: URLs in the Most Popular Web Pages report table are being truncated in the outgoing firewall report.

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • Firewall Suite 4.1a
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 SP3

Symptoms:

  • URLs in the Most Popular Web Pages report table are being truncated in the outgoing firewall report.
  • URLs are truncated when analyzing Netscape Enterprise Firewall log files.
  • Firewall Suite is installed on a machine with Microsoft Windows 2000 SP3.

Information:

If Firewall Suite 4.1a is installed on a computer running Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 3, the URLs in the "Most Popular Web Pages" report table are truncated in an unusual fashion if FastTrends is enabled. For example, a URL to "https://support.levelblue.com/ will appear simply as //support/.

Currently the Firewall Suite 4.1a update that is required in order to read Cisco Pix 6.2 logs also resolves this issue. The following article contains a link to download this update and instructions to install it:

Q10450: How do I run reports for a Cisco Pix 6.2/6.3 log file?

You will only experience this issue if the following conditions are met:

  • Firewall Suite 4.1a is installed after Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 3.
  • FastTrends is enabled for the profile.
  • The profile is attempting to analyze Netscape Enterprise Firewall logs.
