INFO: Will NetIQ be releasing a fix for the SSL Certificate ('Snakeoil') in Security Reporting Center?

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • Security Reporting Center 2.1

Question:

Will Marshal be releasing a fix for the SSL Certificate ('Snakeoil') in Security Reporting Center?

Information:

At this time, Marshal will not be updating the SSL certificate.  While there is an apparent security concern, we have no immediate plans to issue a new release with an updated certificate.  However, it should be noted that the certificate being used is a session certificate and doesn't imply additional trust relationships beyond the specific connection used by Security Reporting Center (SRC).

Note:

While there are no immediate plans for a new release, future releases of the product will have an updated certificate to address this problem.
