PRB: Zero hits result in the 'General Statistics' table, but visits are reported in the 'Top Sites Visited' table of the Outgoing Firewall report.

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • Firewall Suite

Symptoms:

  • Zero hits result in the 'General Statistics' table, but visits are reported in the 'Top Sites Visited' table of the Outgoing Firewall report.

Causes:

The 'General Statistics' report table will only show successful hits, while the 'Top Visited Sites' table shows all hits, regardless of return code.

Only successful hits whose return codes are 200s or 300s are shown in the 'Total Number of Hits' section of the 'General Statistics' table, whereas all hits, regardless of return code status, are shown in the 'Most Popular Site' section of the 'Visited Sites' table. This is by design.

Notes:

The 'General Statistics' table is the only section of the report that counts only successful hits.

The following knowledge base article lists the various server return codes and their meaning.
