FAQ: Can EndPoint Security control access to devices on a laptop that is not connected to the network?

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • Marshal EndPoint Security

Question:

  • Can EndPoint Security control access to devices on a laptop that is not connected to the network?

Reply:

Yes, EndPoint Security continues to apply policy and control access to devices on any computer where the client is deployed, regardless of the network status.

Because EndPoint Security controls access by user (not by port), you must ensure that users cannot log on with a differnt account that gives them different rights.

You should think about all possible accounts when defining an access policy.
