FAQ: What are the ports required for synchronization?

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • R3000
  • WF (web filter)

Question:

What are the ports required for synchronization?

Reply:

If you're trying to synchronize two or more web filters, make sure that the servers are permitted to communicate with each other using the following ports (TCP and UDP):

26260
26262
26263
26265
26266
26267
26268

In a synchronized environment, each web filter is allowing synchronization requests from the actual IP address of the other web filter (as determined in the synchronization setup page on each server). If you have a proxy server or firewall that changes the IP address, synchronization will fail.
