FAQ: How can I modify the appearance of the block page?

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • R3000

Question:

How can I modify the appearance of the block page?

Reply

There are two main ways to change the appearance of the block page.

1. Customize the default block page. From the system menu in the R3000 GUI, go to Customization -> Common Customization. This will let you select info to show and not show on the block page. From Customization -> Block Page, you can modify the main text bodies on the block page, as well. You may also provide an additional link, with a specified line of text to serve as the link.

2. Use a custom block page. This can be any sort of web page, but it will have to be hosted somewhere accessible to your users (usually a web server under your control). In Appendix D of the R3000 User Guide, you can find some sample code for implementing some of the features of the default block page in your custom page. Additionally, you will have to modify all of your filtering group profiles to have the custom block page's URL set as the redirect URL
