Traverler/ Patch errors or failing

If you are getting email alerts or seen the library update log with errors please see checklist below.
Note: the filter will continue to connect to our update or patch servers to grab libraries or new patch availability.

Checklist for failed traveler or patch errors:

  1. Customer's filter was never registered (https://support.levelblue.com/activate-appliance.asp).
  2. Customer has old version with FTP setting (only https is available now)
  3. Customer's contract expired.
  4. Customer's DNS servers cannot resolve secureupdate.8e6.com to an IP address
  5. Customer kept old hostname from evaluation and never registered new hostname or rebooted after changing.
  6. Filter's hostname has been changed and does not match original registration name.
  7. Port 443 outbound is closed.
  8. Firewall rules (if used) are missing  update servers IPs  174.129.7.218 (domain name is secureupdate.8e6.com)
