End of Life Notice: Legacy FTP Update Servers

TO: All 8e6 Technologies Customers and Resellers.

BACKGROUND:  8e6 Technologies has announced the discontinuation of the 8e6 FTP Library Update Servers at update.8e6.com. All library updates and software updates will now be served exclusively via the HTTPS update servers at https://secureupdate.8e6.com

DEVELOPMENT: The R3000 will continue to receive library updates and software updates via the HTTPS library update servers. This EOL notice only affects the FTP update servers. 

-         SUPPORT: 8e6 will continue to provide the same updates it has always provided to customers. The only change being made is the removal of FTP as an available transport mechanism for library and software updates.

EFFECTIVE DATE:  This Product End of Life Notice is effective as of July 30, 2008; provided that 8e6 Technologies will honor contractual commitments, including prior notice requirements (e.g., if your contract requires 60 days advance notice of discontinuation, the discontinuation will be effective 60 days from the date of this notice).
