If you see that the ip address is missing in the address bar for web based authentication add a PTR  to your DNS.

PTR record resolves an IP address to a fully-qualified domain name (FQDN) as an opposite to what A record does. PTR records are also called Reverse DNS records.

The filter needs to be able to perform a forward and reverse DNS lookup on its ip/hostname.
