FAQ: Synchronization during an upgrade

Question:

What happens to the Targets when the synchronization Source temporarily becomes unavailable during an upgrade?

Reply:

We recommend on patching the Targets first and then the Source. The Source will keep its settings and the Targets will continue to keep filtering based on their last good configuration, however, if your are using LDAP, then the Targets and Source (LDAP Profiles) will revert to the Global Group Profile until they are able to authenticate again.
