This article applies to:

• R3000: Novell Edirectory Server 8.8 SP4

Symptoms:

• If customer runs Novell edir server 8.8 SP4, the edir agent may intermittently stop logging events.

Causes:

• The edir agent on the R3000 has a threading problem. Another is that the Novell edir server disconnects intermittently without resending new events.

Resolution:

A temporary solution is to use a new bulid of the edirAgent.jar and also a script to monitor the edirAgent.log file so to re-register with the LDAP server. Please contact Tech Support if needed.
