FAQ: Is the R3000 is compatible with WCCP protocol?

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • R3000

Question:

  • Is the R3000 is compatible with WCCP protocol?

Reply:

WCCP is not supported in the R3000. This protocol exists to provide a means for traffic to be directed to a device such as a cache or content filter, but our invisible mode often accomplishes the same end-goal as we do not require traffic to be directed to the filter - we can simply monitor and filter it by seeing a *copy* of the traffic stream (via port mirror or Ethernet tap).
