INFO: Mobile Client blocks Java applications

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • Mobile Client 3.x

Question:

  • Why is my mobile client blocking all Java applications?

Information:

The mobile client currently has a feature that will block all Java applications if the user's profile is set to block the Instant Messaging category or the Peer-to-peer category.  This was implemented in order to help block various Java-based utilities that facilitate IM and P2P-type traffic.  If this is undesired, one can either Pass/Allow these categories, or set up a bypass for the Java executable in the Application Options portion of the mobile client configuration.  Further information on creating application bypasses can be found in article 14127.
