ERRMSG: Error message on installation from USB

This article applies to:

  • SWG 10.1 Installer

Symptoms:

  • The following error message appears:

modprobe: FATAL: Error inserting hid_dummy (/lib/modules/2.6.29.2-686/kernel/drivers/hid/hid-dummy.ko): Input/output error

Causes:

The SWG Installer fails to load an unused module.

Resolution:

This is part of the auto-detection process during installation and can safely be ignored.

Notes:

Seen with installer 1.4.1-5 and SWG 10.1.
