ERRMSG: The file you are trying to download could not be scanned by AV

This article applies to:

  • SWG 10.x

Symptoms:

  • SWG blocks any web site with the following message:

    The page you've been trying to access was blocked.
    Reason: The file you are trying to download could not be scanned by AV.

Causes:

  • This happens after a fresh install of SWG. The Antivirus Engine could be in the process of being updated or installed.

Resolution:

Check in the SWG Admin GUI under Updates Management if the Antivirus Engine is being updated. If it is, please allow it to complete.
