ERRMSG: Windows 7 end users cannot authenticate with NTLM

This article applies to:

  • SWG 10.x

Symptoms:

  • Client can connect with an XP workstation, but not with Windows 7
  • Using 2008 AD server
  • Client connections return a "STATUS_INVALID_PARAM" error code when you use a "Send NTLMv2 response only" authentication level in Windows Server
    2008 or in Windows Vista

Causes:

  • An issue in AD server
