INFO: Patch update warning page -AD agent

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • WF 4.2
  • WFR 4.2

Question:

  • When applying the 5.0.10 patch on my Web Filter, I notice part of the warning page states ".....this software release no longer supports the M86 AD Agent" does that mean my users would not be able to authenticate through the M86-authenticator.MSI and .EXE that I am currently deploying?

Information:

The statement "...this software release no longer supports the M86 AD Agent", implies that, if you were using the Active Directory Agent which is another form of authentication provided by Trustwave (M86 Security) in past, then that service will no longer be supported. This is completely different from the Authenticator (.MSI and .EXE) that you are using and would not impact your users.
