HOWTO: Location of Authenticat logs for tech support uploads

Question:

  • Where do I find the log file for Authenticat.exe for TAC support?

Procedure:

On Windows 7:
c:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\M86Authenticator\Log\m86authenticator.log

Windows XP:

 Use the run command and paste this in:
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\M86Authenticator\Log\m86authenticator.

Mac Authentication Logs:
Applications/Utilities/Console~/Library/Logs/8e6authenticator.log

In Service Mode:
Windows XP C:\Documents and Settings\LocalService\Local Settings\Application Data\M86Authenticator\Log\m86authenticator.log

Use the run or search command and paste this in:
Windows Vista %windir%\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\M86Authenticator\Log\m86authenticator.log  

Windows 7/32-bit %windir%\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\M86Authenticator\Log\m86authenticator.log

Windows 7/64-bit %windir%\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\M86Authenticator\Log\m86authenticator.log
